How we earn money

Internetprovider.se is a comparison and information site. It is not an internet provider and it does not sell a connection.

Some providers may pay a commission if you continue to their site through an affiliate link. That commission is paid by the provider. It does not change the published prices in SEK, contract length or advertised speed, and it does not change the price sort.

Affiliate links are stored separately from the price feed. If a plan has no tracking URL, the button opens the provider’s official page.

Tracking URLs are added when an affiliate relationship is confirmed. Until then, plan buttons open the provider’s official Swedish pages.

Ownit internet in Sweden

Ownit internet in Sweden is mainly a fibre option for homes connected to a local open fibre network. We reviewed Ownit’s published residential fibre plans and found five speed tiers, each with a 12-month term, an introductory monthly price in Swedish kronor and a higher monthly price from month 6. Before you order, run the address check and confirm any activation, router and notice-period costs.

If you are still comparing brands rather than checking one address, our home internet in Sweden comparison can help you place Ownit beside other providers.

Who Ownit may suit

Ownit home internet Sweden is most relevant if your flat or house is connected to an open fibre network where Ownit is available. That means the deciding factor is not only the city or area, but the specific address and the network operator connected to the property.

The provider’s published residential range is fibre only in the plans we reviewed. If you want a fixed fibre connection rather than mobile broadband, Ownit fibre Sweden may be worth checking, especially if you need symmetrical download and upload speeds for video calls, cloud backups or gaming.

Ownit will not suit every property. If your home cannot order Ownit through the local fibre network, you may need to compare other fibre operators or look at mobile broadband instead. For a deeper explanation of how open fibre access works, see our guide to fibre internet in Sweden.

Fibre plans, speeds and SEK prices

Ownit broadband Sweden is sold in several residential fibre speed tiers. The published Ownit internet plans we reviewed are Broadband 10/10 Mbit/s, Broadband 100/100 Mbit/s, Broadband 250/250 Mbit/s, Broadband 500/500 Mbit/s and Broadband 1000/1000 Mbit/s.

The 10/10 Mbit/s plan is advertised at 250 SEK per month at first, then 499 SEK per month from month 6. The 100/100 Mbit/s plan is advertised at 270 SEK per month at first, then 539 SEK per month from month 6. The 250/250 Mbit/s plan is advertised at 295 SEK per month at first, then 589 SEK per month from month 6.

For higher speeds, Broadband 500/500 Mbit/s is advertised at 300 SEK per month at first, then 599 SEK per month from month 6. Broadband 1000/1000 Mbit/s is advertised at 395 SEK per month at first, then 789 SEK per month from month 6.

The speed figures are advertised fibre speed tiers, not a guarantee that every device in your home will always reach that rate over Wi-Fi. A wired connection, router quality, apartment layout and network load can all affect the speed you actually experience.

Checks before you accept the contract

Pay close attention to the price change from the campaign period to the later monthly price. For all five published residential plans, the later price starts from month 6, while the stated term is 12 months. That makes the later monthly price important when judging the real cost of the first year.

The published plan details do not state a data cap, so check the full order terms if heavy usage is important to you. The details we reviewed also do not state an activation fee, and the router is not included in the base price. Ask Ownit to confirm whether you must buy, rent or supply your own router, and whether any start-up cost applies at your address.

Ownit may not fit if you need mobile broadband, if your property is outside its available open fibre network, or if you want one package where the router and all set-up costs are clearly bundled into the monthly price. If you are comparing lower-cost alternatives, our guide to cheap internet in Sweden explains the trade-offs to check before choosing only by the first advertised price.

Internetprovider.se may receive compensation from some partners. This does not allow a provider to buy a ranking, and you can read more about our commercial model in how we earn money.

Ownit: short answers

Confirm the live offer at your address.

Is Ownit available everywhere in Sweden?

No. Ownit availability depends on the local open fibre network and your exact address. A neighbour, another building in the same area or a different housing association may have different options, so always use the address check before comparing Ownit with other providers.

Does Ownit include a router in the monthly price?

The published residential plan details we reviewed state that the router is not included in the base price. Before ordering, confirm whether you need to buy a router, rent one from Ownit or use compatible equipment you already own.

Are Ownit’s advertised prices the long-term prices?

No. The published residential fibre plans use introductory monthly prices, with a higher monthly price from month 6. Because the stated term is 12 months, compare both the campaign price and the later price before deciding whether the plan fits your budget.

Which Ownit speed should I choose?

Choose based on how many people use the connection and what they do online. The lower tiers may suit light browsing and basic streaming, while higher symmetrical fibre speeds are more useful for multiple users, large uploads, gaming, remote work and 4K streaming. Your router and Wi-Fi setup also matter.
