Compare the total cost, not only the first monthly price. Prices are in Swedish kronor (SEK), and some plans separate the promotional monthly price from the later price. If an offer says the later price starts from month 13 or month 25, your monthly bill can rise sharply after the campaign period.
Fibre examples show why this matters. A Telia 250/250 Mbit/s fibre offer is listed at 449 SEK per month for a 12-month term, with a later price of 649 SEK from month 13 and a 0 SEK activation fee. A Tele2 500/500 Mbit/s fibre offer is listed at 499 SEK per month for a 12-month term, then 749 SEK from month 13, with a 399 SEK activation fee. A Bahnhof 500/500 Mbit/s fibre plan is listed at 529 SEK per month on a flexible term with a 0 SEK activation fee.
A simple 24-month worked example, before any router rental or unstated charges, looks like this: Telia 250/250 would be 5,388 SEK for the first 12 months and 7,788 SEK for the next 12 months, or 13,176 SEK in total. Tele2 500/500 would be 5,988 SEK for the first 12 months, plus a 399 SEK activation fee, then 8,988 SEK for the next 12 months, or 15,375 SEK in total. Bahnhof 500/500 at 529 SEK per month would be 12,696 SEK over 24 months if that monthly price stayed the same.
This example is not a ranking and does not prove which plan is best for your home. It simply shows how introductory prices, later prices and activation fees can change the comparison. If router rental, shipping, installation, e-invoice fees or notice periods are not stated clearly, ask the provider before you order.
